When we exchanged rings, we hoped our family of two would grow.
It has, into a family of 4. We're just split in half.
Two of us walk the Earth while two of us fly in Heaven.

Remembering

For those of you that would like to donate in Julia and Evan's memory, I thought I'd put the details here. For ease of everyone involved, I've done it by country.

Australians: We'd be honored if you'd donate to the Royal Brisbane Women's Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery where Evan spent his life. Email me at karadavies07{at}hotmail{dot}com and I'll get you the detailed information. The Royal is placing donations in a trust fund which will be used to establish a breast milk bank for NICU babies whos mothers cannot feed them from their own breast. Evan never got to nurse and I'm happy that his life means other babies will be able to eat. To date, $1065 AUD has been donated. Thank you! Please specify "For Grantley Stable Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery - In Memory of Evan Riley Davies" as The Royal will send notification of a donation. (All the notifications are going into Evan's baby book's "tribute" section.)

If you're in the US, we'd be honored if you'd donate to Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope. This group of mothers who have also suffered the earth-shattering, heartwrenching pain of losing their child (and in many cases, just like us, their children) have helped me keep my very thin shred of sanity since Evan died. The founder lost her baby girl just this May and started Faces up afterwards as a way to reach out to mothers with information she never had. Its a tremendous support to me and to others to know that I'm not alone walking this road of grief. Americans: If you'd like to donate to the Royal directly, click here.

Thank you for those that donate in our babies memory.
Please put their names with your donation to let the world know our babies are making a difference: Julia Rose and Evan Riley Davies.

-Kara and Glenn
