We don't do halloween here.
My husband's post sums it all up.
It's not harvest time in the southern hemisphere, it's spring time. A harvest time pagan celebration doesn't work.
We spend all our lives telling kids not to talk to strangers. All of a sudden it's ok to go to a stranger and accept sweets from them?
With all the craziness in the world with I S/ I S I L and plenty of nations wanting to stop such atrocities, all of a sudden its ok to dress up and personify and embody evil/grotesque things?
Uh, no. No halloween here. If you knock on our door, you'll be told to go away.
