When we exchanged rings, we hoped our family of two would grow.
It has, into a family of 4. We're just split in half.
Two of us walk the Earth while two of us fly in Heaven.

10 Things About Me - Grief Aside

Where were you born and where do you live?
I was born in the cold, rainy, beautiful, green Pacific North West, in Oregon. Where do I live now? Hot, dry, muggy, sunny, currently bitterly cold SE Queensland Australia!

What are you reading right now?
I've been trying to get through book 2 of The Century Trilogy, Winter of the World for months now. It's a fabulous storyline and I keep getting distracted from finishing it!

What is your favourite colour?
Hands down, purple. Without a doubt. It's the color of royalty. If a man's home is his castle, then that mean's I'm the Queen!

Most amazing day of your life?
At various points in life, there's been several days. Really accepting Christ in high school (October 1997) and understanding what that decision meant. Meeting my husband for the first time (December 9, 2005). Accepting his marriage proposal (December 9, 2006). Getting married (June 29, 2007). Finding out I was pregnant with our first baby (August 2008). Our little baby girl Julia Rose being born, tragic as it was (November 24, 2008). Finding out I was pregnant with our second baby (October 18, 2009). Our chunkalunk son Evan Riley being born, tragic and crazy fast as it was (June 18, 2010). Letting Evan go to Heaven, hard as it was (June 22, 2010).

What have you been procrastinating on?
Packing for our 3 week trip back home for 2 weddings.

What is your perfect idea of a night out?
Dinner at Grill'd (with my fave Simply Grill'd sans salad) or Crust (a Meat Deluxe), followed by a game of footy or a show at QPAC, followed by a cuppa and a sweet on the way home.

What is your perfect idea of a night in?
A hot cheesy pizza or bowl of homemade spaghetti, a couple rounds of Carcassone or Ticket To Ride, a slice of homemade cake or pie, plenty of cuppas, plenty of laughter, followed by fresh from the dryer jammies and a long sleep.

Sweet or Savoury?
Usually anything sweet, however I won't turn down a savory mini pie or sausage roll when offered!

Where have you traveled to?
In order from first to latest: Canada, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovakia, England, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji

Favourite music?
Currently my eardrums are enjoying Demon Hunter's entire back catalog and their newest album Extremist. Also, my eardrums are cracking up at Weird Al Yankovic's Mandatory Fun, especially Word Crimes, his cover of that annoying and totally inappropriate song from last year.

Julia and Evan, I am still standing.
